Flame spectrometers are suitable for use in such applications as food and beverage quality control, remote sensing, agricultural measurements and monitoring, research and development, medical diagnostics, and light measurement.
In addition, the spectrometers are supported by drivers and software for system integration. Both models have an optical resolution of ~0.1-10.0 nm FWHM (configuration dependent) and have interchangeable slits, indicator LEDs, and USB/RS-232 communications.
For the image sensors in the spectrometers, the Flame-S features a 2048 x 1 Sony ILX511B linear silicon CCD array, while the Flame-T features a 3648 x 1 Toshiba TCD1304AP linear silicon CCD array. Ocean Optics has released two new miniature spectrometers, the Flame-S and the Flame-T, which deliver high thermal stability (0.05 nm/☌ from 200-850 nm) and are fully configurable across the 190-1100 nm wavelength range for use in absorbance, transmission, reflectance, irradiance and color applications.
